About the Foundation

Who We Are

Yad Al Baraka Foundation for Social Services and Development is a nonprofit organization registered in October 2025 under registration number 12519.

Although its official registration is recent, the foundation draws on around 15 years of prior volunteer work. Direct experience with families lacking essential services built a strong commitment to community participation and development.

This work developed into an institutional framework grounded in a rights-based approach. We reach all groups in society without bias or discrimination, working alongside community organizations that share our commitment to justice, love and giving, and to meeting essential needs, particularly for marginalized families and those most in need.

The name Yad Al Baraka, meaning “Hand of Blessing”, reflects our belief in the Creator as the source of blessings, inspiring hope and perseverance and helping create a better life for everyone.

The Board of Trustees brings together people committed to charitable development, with varied expertise gained over many years of work. They are known for integrity, distinction and achievement, and hold respected positions in their communities and professional fields. The board has nine members, including four founders.

The foundation makes a tangible difference in communities and has earned a positive reputation through serious work and commitment to its founding principles and goals. Extensive field experience in charitable and development programs, combined with careful study of the communities it serves, enables it to reach intended beneficiaries quickly. It also attracts volunteers with diverse expertise to deliver a wide range of interventions.

The foundation has implemented initiatives across essential areas to improve living standards and promote equal opportunities for all.

These areas include emergency and seasonal relief such as food packages, clothing, housing support and medicines; healthcare and education; care and rehabilitation for people with disabilities; support for young entrepreneurs; and assistance with addiction treatment, prisoners and their families.
